Досліджено позитивні та негативні наслідки участі іноземного капіталу в банківських установах. У статті представлено результати дослідження сучасного стану присутності іноземного капіталу у банківській системі України (зокрема з країн Європейського Союзу та Російської Федерації). Досліджено розмір та частку іноземного капіталу у статутному капіталі іноземних банків. Виявлено тенденцію збільшення кількості іноземних банків в українському банківському секторі. Наведено класифікацію основних загроз економічній безпеці банку, що має в своєму складі іноземний капітал. Проаналізовано вплив іноземного капіталу на роботу банку і забезпечення економічної безпеки як конкретно банку, так і фінансової сфери країни.

В статье представлены результаты исследования современного состояния присутствия иностранного капитала в банковской системе Украины (в частности из стран Европейского Союза и Российской Федерации). Исследован размер и доля иностранного капитала в уставном капитале иностранных банков. Определена тенденция увеличения количества иностранных банков в украинском банковском секторе. Приведена классификация основных угроз экономической безопасности банка, имеющего в своем составе иностранный капитал. Проанализировано влияние иностранного капитала на работу банка и обеспечения экономической безопасности как конкретно банка, так и финансовой сферы страны.
EN: The article is devoted to theoretical aspects of mechanisms of influence of foreign capital on the national banking system. Positive and negative consequences of participation of foreign capital in banking institutions are investigated. The article presents the results of the study of the current state of the presence of foreign capital in the banking system of Ukraine (in particular, from the European Union and the Russian Federation). Investigated the size and share of foreign capital in the authorized capital of foreign banks. The tendency of increasing the number of foreign banks in the Ukrainian banking sector was revealed. The classification of the main threats to the bank's economic security, which includes foreign capital, is presented. The influence of foreign capital on the work of the bank and ensuring the economic security of the bank and the financial sphere of the country are analyzed. The processes of globalization of the world economy did not pass nor Ukraine, nor its financial and banking system, especially in view of the openness of the domestic economy. Integration of the Ukrainian economy into the world market is not possible without the development of the banking sector, in particular, through the injection of foreign bank capital. The banking system of Ukraine was formed on the principles of attracting both Ukrainian and foreign capital. At the same time, the presence of foreign capital in the domestic banking system has a mixed impact on its financial stability – on the one hand, banks with foreign capital contribute to increasing interbank competition, improving the quality of customer service and expanding the range of banking services, etc., on the other hand – the participation of foreign capital in the banking sector the system of Ukraine can lead to the emergence of negative factors due to its vulnerability to the influence of destabilizing factors. In particular, an increase in the share of foreign capital in the banking system leads to an increase in its instability as a result of the outflow of capital in the most unfavorable periods for the country's economy; the monopolization of foreign capital by the banking services market may contradict national interests and lead to an increase in the country's economic dependence. Further development of the banking system of Ukraine will largely be linked to the globalization processes taking place in the global economy. In this regard, the study of the problem of access of foreign capital to the banking system of Ukraine, its impact on the level of its financial stability becomes of particular relevance.
