EN: The article explores lobbying practices as a key instrument of corporate diplomacy and outlines the mechanisms
of their implementation within the global politico-economic environment. It characterizes the scale, structural
dimensions, and major trends in the development of the global lobbying services market. It is noted that contemporary
lobbying services demonstrate a distinctly complementary nature, contributing to the dynamic expansion of the
global lobbying industry within the framework of the current corporate diplomacy toolkit. The article analyzes the
core features of corporate strategies and business models in lobbying service provision. It identifies the factors that
enable lobbying firms to consolidate monopolistic power in the global market. The research shows that offering a
significantly broader range of services – compared to narrowly specialized lobbying firms – underpins the competitive
advantages and growing client base of legal firms with specialized lobbying departments. It is argued that at the
current stage of global economic development, the lobbying services market is acquiring clear entrepreneurial
characteristics, marked by hybrid remuneration schemes for professional lobbyists, the involvement of industry
associations and non-profit organizations, and a wide differentiation of service fees depending on professional
competencies and political ties. The article emphasizes the ongoing deep structural segmentation of the global
lobbying market, resulting in the formation of distinct subsystems with various specializations across its actor and
product-service dimensions. It is established that a major share of global lobbying expenditures is concentrated in
highly regulated sectors, further reinforcing the specialization of market participants by industry. Special attention
is devoted to the ethical risks associated with certain lobbying practices that contradict the principles of corporate
social responsibility and the interests of key stakeholders.
