dcterms.abstract EN: Multicriteria assessment of risks arising during the development of a trading enterprise’s transfer potential is critically important. Transfer potential encompasses the enterprise’s ability to transfer knowledge, technologies, products, and other resources between different parts of the organization and external partners. This ensures the enterprise’s competitiveness and innovativeness in the market. It has been proven that the application of the ARCH family models is an effective approach due to their ability to model time-varying volatility. Particular attention was given to different types of these models – GARCH, EGARCH, GJR-GARCH, and FIEGARCH – each possessing unique characteristics that capture various aspects of volatility. Specifically, GARCH models are suitable for basic cases of modeling heteroskedasticity, while EGARCH models account for asymmetric shock effects. GJR-GARCH models provide additional flexibility by modeling positive and negative shocks separately, and FIEGARCH models incorporate long-term dependencies, which is crucial for forecasting processes with long memory. It has been substantiated that selecting the most appropriate model requires detailed diagnostics, including preliminary data analysis, parameter estimation using the maximum likelihood method, model adequacy testing with Ljung-Box and ARCH-LM tests, and model comparison based on AIC and BIC information criteria. It is also essential to consider business logic and data specificity to ensure the best explanation and forecasting of volatility. It is argued that using ARCH family models for forecasting the development of the transfer potential of trading enterprises is a justified and effective approach that allows for more accurate risk assessment and the adoption of well-grounded strategic decisions.
