Еколого-економічна безпека підприємств в системі пріоритетів сталого розвитку

Abstract

UK: У статті досліджуються проблеми еколого-економічної безпеки українських підприємств у контексті реалізації пріоритетів сталого розвитку та євроінтеграційних трансформацій. Проаналізовано динаміку ключових індикаторів екологічної безпеки: енергоємності, вуглецевоємності, водоємності та відходоємності ВВП за період 2015-2023 рр. Встановлено, що промисловість споживає близько третини кінцевої енергії країни, а підприємства енергогенерації, металургії та хімічної промисловості залишаються основними джерелами викидів забруднюючих речовин та парникових газів. Виявлено позитивні тенденції щодо зниження енергоємності (88,9% до 2015 р.) та вуглецевоємності ВВП (72,2%), а також скорочення викидів забруднюючих речовин на 57,2%. Разом із тим, досягнуті результати потребують подальшого посилення екологічної політики та впровадження інноваційних технологій, здатних забезпечити системне зменшення антропогенного навантаження на довкілля.

EN: The article thoroughly examines the problems of environmental and economic security of Ukrainian enterprises within the context of implementing sustainable development priorities and ongoing European integration transformations. The study analyzes the dynamics of key environmental security indicators, including energy intensity, carbon intensity, water intensity, and waste intensity of GDP for the period 2015 – 2023, providing a comprehensive assessment of the sectoral and national trends. It is established that industrial enterprises consume approximately one-third of the country’s final energy, while energy generation, metallurgy, and chemical industry enterprises remain the main sources of pollutant emissions and greenhouse gases. Major industrial polluters are identified, including ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, metallurgical plants of the Metinvest Group, thermal power stations such as DTEK and Centrenergo, and chemical complexes including Sumykhimprom and Rivneazot. Positive trends have been observed in reducing energy intensity by 88.9% compared to 2015, carbon intensity of GDP by 72.2%, and pollutant emissions by 57.2%, demonstrating progress in implementing decarbonization measures. Greenhouse gas emissions were reduced to 37.8% of 1990 levels, reflecting partial success in aligning industrial practices with climate objectives. However, the study identifies a critical problem of increasing waste volumes, indicating inefficiencies in the waste management system due to limited adoption of innovative technologies and circular economy principles. The waste intensity of GDP reached 141.6% in 2021 compared to 2015, significantly exceeding the planned target of 90%. Approximately 76% of hazardous waste (classes I–III) originates from the manufacturing industry, while only 22% of generated waste undergoes incineration or utilization, highlighting gaps in regulatory enforcement and technological capacity. The necessity for comprehensive modernization of production facilities is substantiated as a key measure to achieve sustainable development goals, strengthen environmental and economic security of enterprises, and ensure compliance with the European Green Deal and Ukraine’s international commitments under the Kyoto Protocol.
