Оцінювання структурної трансформації вертикально інтегрованої гірничо-металургійної групи «Метінвест»

Abstract

UK: У статті досліджено структурну трансформацію гірничо-металургійної групи «Метінвест» у період війни в Україні. Метою є визначення ключових напрямів адаптації бізнес-моделі компанії в умовах втрати виробничих потужностей і зміни геополітичного середовища. Проаналізовано відновлення та модернізацію активів, екологічну трансформацію, стратегію декарбонізації, диверсифікацію логістики та цифровізацію управління. Досліджено технічне оновлення, екологічну модернізацію «Метінвест». Проаналізовоно способи інтеграції підприємствв у світовий ринок з врахуванням втрати виробничих потужностей, асортименту і територіальної приналежності. Розглянуті волонтерські ініціативи інтегрованої гірничо-металургійної групи «Метінвест» щодо внутрішньо переміщених осіб, соціальну відповідальність бізнесу.

EN: The article explores the structural transformation of the vertically integrated mining and metallurgical group Metinvest during the war in Ukraine. The study aims to identify the key directions of adaptation and transformation of the company’s business model under conditions of production losses, supply disruptions, and geopolitical shifts. The research focuses on the restoration and modernization of industrial assets, environmental transformation and decarbonization strategies, diversification of logistics chains, and the implementation of digital technologies in management and production. The methods of integrating enterprises into the global market are analyzed, taking into account lost production capacities, assortment and territorial affiliation. The key classical steps of enterprise transformation from vertical vertical integration to a larger number of business process management models that refused to adapt to market challenges, economic and geopolitical instability are explored. The technical update and environmental modernization of Metinvest were investigated. The analysis shows that Metinvest is undergoing a multidimensional transformation that combines technological renewal, environmental modernization, and active integration into global markets. Despite the loss of major assets in Mariupol and other regions, the group has preserved operational stability through flexible production management, export diversification, and closer cooperation with European partners. The volunteer initiatives of the integrated mining and metallurgical group «Metinvest» regarding internally displaced persons and the social responsibility of business are considered. Furthermore, Metinvest demonstrates a high level of corporate social responsibility: it provides humanitarian aid, supports internally displaced persons, and contributes to Ukraine’s defense and post-war recovery. The company’s transformation model can serve as an example for other industrial enterprises adapting to crisis conditions while maintaining competitiveness and sustainability.
